What day! We woke up in the middle of the night to a broken air conditioning unit… not fun at all! Especially since the high today in the Detroit area is 91 degrees… yuck! Thankfully we were able to find someone to come out first thing this morning and fix the problem, for quite a hefty fee of course 🙁 Any fluctuations in temperature – from hot to cold – prompt me to change up my skincare products and thankfully I have tons to choose from! See below for what I’ve been using lately for my skincare routine!
Apparently, peat extract is an absolute miracle worker when it comes to anti-aging. So when I came across this serum from belif, a Korean cosmetics company, I had to try it. I was a little perturbed at just how small the bottle was when it arrived in my Sephora order, but I quickly found out a little goes a long way and it’s lasted me much longer than I thought it would. It comes with a dropper for use, and barely even one suction of the dropper is the perfect amount for me. I’ve been using this at night before my main moisturizer and definitely can tell a difference in the smoothness of my skin and this stuff has given it a bit of an oomph in looking softer. What’s really cool? Is it isn’t for just dry or oily skin, it’s perfectly able to be used an ALL skin types.
Yall, this stuff is amazing! I found it on a major Sephora sale online several months back and have been LOVING it ever since! It’s a two-part gel-cream that’s perfect for sensitive skin and combination skin types (oily in parts, dry in others). In the summer I can be incredibly oily all day long, so I have to be careful what I use to moisturize. This stuff somehow works great on my face! The Tsubaki Oil in this moisturizer is full of antioxidants to protect against fine lines and wrinkles, as well as improve collagen production, as well as promotes firmness and hydrates your skin. It also contains rice bran, an ingredient used in Japan for centuries that has all sorts of potential benefits. Read about them here on the Boscia website!
I haven’t been shy in talking about these products. I use the eye cream both morning and night, and the cream as my nighttime moisturizer. Head over to my previous post about several different IT Cosmetics products and see why I absolutely recommend these two that I’ve been using!
This brand is one of my favorites in K-Beauty. The company was developed by a mother whose children were struggling with skin problems, and she wanted to develop the purest and simplest products possible that weren’t just for mature skin, but she wanted a product that was gentle enough to use on adolescent skin. Read: it’s safe and GREAT for sensitive skin types. AND it smells SOOO good! Just a sweet, clean scent from all-natural ingredients. I use two pumps directly on y fingertips and gently rub and pat the toner/essence into my skin and let it dry, then I move on to my moisturizer of choice depending on the time of day and season.
